Customize Branding in the Guest App

Your guests should feel just as welcome in the guest app as they do in your hotel. That's why you can fully customize the app to match the look and personality of your hotel – from colors to your logo to personal greetings.

Why Branding is so Important

The guest app is often the first digital impression your guests get of your hotel. With the right branding:

  • Your guests immediately recognize that they're in "your" app
  • They trust the app because it looks authentic
  • Your hotel charm remains preserved digitally
  • Guests feel at home from the very beginning

Hotel Images: Your Hotel at Every Time of Day

Day Picture and Night Picture

You can upload two main images of your hotel:

  • Day Picture: Displayed in the app during daytime
  • Night Picture: Automatically shown in the evening and at night

The app automatically switches between both images depending on the time of day. This way your guests always see the most atmospheric picture of your hotel.

Optimized for Social Media

The day picture is also used when your guests share the app with friends (e.g., on WhatsApp or Facebook). This way your most beautiful hotel image always represents your hotel on social media.

Logo: Your Brand Mark Visible Everywhere

Your hotel logo appears:

  • In the app as a brand mark at the top
  • In the browser tab as a small icon (when guests open the app in the browser)
  • When sharing as a recognition mark

Important: The logo should be square (same height and width) and have good contrast with the navigation bar background so it looks good everywhere.

Personal Greetings: Your Hospitality Around the Clock

With Guest Messages you automatically greet your guests at different times of the day:

  • Morning Message: "Good morning!"
  • Noon Message: "Enjoy your meal!"
  • Evening Message: "Have a relaxing evening!"

These messages are automatically displayed at the appropriate time of day and can be formulated entirely according to your hotel style.

Hotel Information: The Practical Details

In addition to the visual appearance, there are important practical settings that improve the guest experience:

Currency and Time Zone

  • Currency: Set which currency to display prices for services and events
  • Time Zone: Determines the correct display of times in calendars, events, and automatic messages

Contact for Your Guests

  • Reception Phone: Guests can call your reception directly from the app
  • Imprint/Privacy: Link to your legal information (GDPR compliant)

Hotel Map for Orientation

You can upload a map of your hotel (as PDF or image) that helps guests in their personal area:

  • Overview plan of the hotel facility
  • Directions to important areas (restaurant, SPA, pool)
  • Especially useful for larger hotels or resorts

Colors: Experience Your Hotel Design Digitally

Easy Start: Choose Main Color

You simply choose your main brand color – this could be the color of your logo or your hotel decoration. GuestGoodie automatically creates a harmonious color scheme for the entire app.

Tip: Avoid colors that are too light, as they are often poorly readable.

For Perfectionists: Each Color Individually

If you wish, you can customize almost every color in the app in the advanced settings:

  • Navigation: The colors of the menu bar
  • Background: Basic colors of the app
  • Texts: Different text colors for optimal readability
  • Buttons: Colors for booking and action buttons
  • Banners: Colors for special notices
  • Error Messages: These also adapt to your design

Important Note About Colors

Make sure that texts always remain easily readable. Light texts need dark backgrounds and vice versa. Your guests should be able to read everything effortlessly.

Fonts: Your Typographic Personality

You can upload your own fonts that match your hotel:

  • Headline Font: For titles and important areas
  • Standard Font: For normal text and descriptions

Whether elegant, modern, or traditional – the font should match your hotel style and be easily readable.

Best Practices: Make Your Branding Perfect

✓ What You Should Do:

  • Consistency: Use the same colors as in your hotel
  • Readability: Test all color combinations for good readability
  • High-Quality Images: Use professional photos of your hotel
  • Authenticity: Let your hotel personality shine through

✗ What You Should Avoid:

  • Colors that are too light and poorly readable
  • Pixelated or blurry images
  • Too many different colors (less is more)
  • Fonts that are hard to read
