Team Management
With GuestGoodie's team management, you give your hotel staff exactly the access rights they need for their work. From reception to marketing - everyone gets the appropriate permissions for their work area.
Overview
You access Team Management by clicking on the hotel logo in the lower left corner and opening the Members menu.

In the overview you then see:
- Invited members (top) - Haven't confirmed the invitation yet
- Current members (bottom) - Already confirmed and active team members
- Role dropdown - For changing permissions
- Management options - Remove members or adjust roles

Understanding Roles and Permissions
Admin
Full access to everything
- All areas of GuestGoodie
- Team management (invite, change roles, remove)
- Branding, content and hotel settings
- Billing and accounting
- Ideal for: Hotel managers, management
Editor
Guest app content
- Can: Manage goodies, categories, promotions, branding
- Cannot: View guest data, edit bookings, manage team
- Ideal for: Marketing team, content managers, design responsible
Reception
Guest service and bookings
- Can: Manage guests, edit bookings, organize stays, read feedback
- Cannot: Change app content, customize branding, manage team
- Ideal for: Reception staff, guest relations, service team
Readonly
View only
- Can: View all areas but change nothing
- Cannot: Edit, create, delete
- Ideal for: Interns, trainees, reporting
Invite Team Members
Step 1: Start Invitation
- Open the "Members" menu
- Select the Plus symbol
- The "Invite member" dialog opens

Step 2: Enter Details
- Enter the person's email address
Member Role
- Choose the appropriate role from the dropdown
- Consider the person's work tasks
Step 3: Send Invitation
- Click "Invite"
- The person receives an email with invitation link
- Invitation appears under "Invited Members"
After the Invitation
- Confirmation required: Person must click email link
- Existing accounts: People with GuestGoodie account join automatically
- No existing account: Person must create a GuestGoodie account and can then join
- Multi-hotel: People can be members of multiple hotels
- After confirmation: Member moves to "Current Members"
Manage Team
Change Roles Later
- Find the member in the "Current Members" list
- Click on the Role dropdown next to the name
- Select the new role
- Change becomes effective immediately
Remove Members
- Click the Trash icon next to the member
- Confirm removal
- Person loses immediate access to the hotel
Admin Protection
- At least one admin must always exist
- Admins cannot downgrade themselves if they are the last admin
- Security mechanism prevents accidental lockout
Multi-Hotel Management
- Different hotels: Members can have different roles in different hotels
- Switch hotels: Switch between hotels via "Switch Hotel"
- Role context: Permissions only apply to the current hotel

Role Assignment
Give admin to:
- Hotel managers and management
- IT responsible persons
- Sparingly assign - only those who really need everything
Editor optimal for:
- Marketing team (promotions, branding)
- Content managers (create goodies, categories)
- Social media responsible persons
Reception perfect for:
- Reception staff (guest check-in/out)
- Guest relations (manage bookings)
- Service coordination
Use readonly for:
- Interns and trainees
- Reporting and controlling
- Temporary access
Security Tips
- Minimal permissions: Give only necessary rights
- Regular review: Remove former employees immediately
- Admin backup: Ensure at least 2 admins
- Role understanding: Explain permissions to new employees
Team Communication
- Introduction: Show new members their areas
- Responsibilities: Clarify who is responsible for which areas
- Support: Employees can contact admins with questions about permissions

Additional Requirements
The standard roles cover most hotel needs. However, if you need additional roles:

Troubleshooting
Invitation not arriving?
- ✓ Email address spelled correctly
- ✓ Have them check spam folder
- ✓ Company firewall may block emails
Employee doesn't see certain areas?
- ✓ Correct role assigned (check dropdown)
- ✓ Clear browser cache and log in again
- ✓ Check role permissions
Cannot change admin role?
- ✓ At least one other admin must exist
- ✓ First appoint another admin, then change role
Person is in multiple hotels?
- ✓ Use "Switch Hotel" to switch between hotels
- ✓ Roles only apply to the currently selected hotel
