The GoodieFeed is your most powerful tool to proactively reach guests and motivate them to book. Here you'll learn how to create promotions, optimize them with psychological sales impulses, and effectively manage the feed.

Create Promotion

Two Ways to Promotion

Way 1: Directly from a Goodie

  1. When creating/editing goodie: "Save and add to feed"
  2. The promotion dialog opens with the goodie already pre-filled

Way 2: Via the Feed Menu

  1. Go to the "Feed" section in the sidebar
  2. Click the Plus symbol and select "Create feed element"
  1. Select the desired goodie in the "Select goodie" dialog

Tip: During promotion creation you can change the goodie at any time via "Choose another Goodie".

Step-by-Step: Configure Promotion

Basic Information

  • Name (not displayed to guests): For your internal management
  • Promotion is active: Activates/deactivates the promotion
  • Title: The title guests see in the feed
  • Description: Additional details about the promotion (optional)

Images and Videos

Gallery: Images/videos for this specific promotion. You can use existing goodie media or add new ones that only apply to this promotion.

Pricing

Discounted price (Goodie price: €XXX.XX)

  • Automatically shows the original goodie price as reference
  • You can only give discounts - higher prices than the original are not possible
  • At "0" the promotion is free

Feed Options: Sales Psychology in Action

1. Override Label

What it does: Usually replaces the price or shows a special label

Practical example:

  • Input: "1 + 1 free"
  • Result in feed: Instead of the price, guests see "1 + 1 free" as a striking label

Use cases:

  • "2 for 1"
  • "Happy Hour Special"
  • "Last Chance"
  • "New Offer"

2. Banner

What it does: Adds a colored banner in the top left of the feed element

Examples:

  • "Guest Favorite" - creates social proof
  • "Recommended" - uses authority principle
  • "Popular" - reinforces through herd effect
  • "Limited" - creates scarcity

You can enter any text you want, your creativity has no limits.

3. Time Control

"Show the promotion at specific times (otherwise it will always be displayed)"

Functionality:

  • Without time control: Promotion runs continuously until manual deactivation
  • With time control: Promotion appears only at defined times

Automatic countdown: When a promotion is about to end, a countdown timer automatically appears in the feed (e.g. "0h 41m Ends in").


Manage Feed

Feed Overview

In the Feed section you see all your promotions in a clear list:

  • Name: The internal promotion name
  • Goodie: Linked goodie (clickable)
  • Goodie Type: Service, Event, etc.
  • Status: Active/Paused

Control Promotions

Button 1 - Activate/Pause:

  • Play symbol (▶): Promotion is paused → click to activate
  • Pause symbol (⏸): Promotion is active → click to pause
  • Paused promotions don't appear in the feed

Button 2 - Edit goodie:

  • Underlined goodie name: Opens the underlying goodie for editing
  • Not the promotion itself!

Edit Promotion

  1. Click on the promotion name (not on the goodie!)
  2. The promotion dialog opens
  3. Make your changes
  4. "Save" applies the changes immediately

Delete Promotion

  1. Open the promotion for editing
  2. Scroll to the end of the dialog
  3. Click "Delete" (red button)
  4. Confirm deletion

Attention: Deleted promotions cannot be restored and immediately disappear from the guest feed.


Algorithm and Order

Intelligent Feed Sorting

The GoodieFeed sorts promotions not chronologically, but algorithmically:

  • Guest preferences: Based on previous behavior
  • Availability: Current capacities are considered
  • Urgency: Expiring promotions are ranked higher
  • Messages: Video messages automatically appear higher up

You Maintain Control

Although the algorithm optimizes the order, you can influence it through targeted promotion settings:

  • Banners increase attention
  • Time control determines visibility
  • Override labels make offers more noticeable

Best Practices for Successful Promotions

Use Sales Psychology

  • Scarcity: "Only 3 spots left" or time-limited offers
  • Social proof: Banners like "Guest Favorite" or "Most Booked"
  • FOMO: Countdowns and "Last Chance" labels
  • Clarity: Simple, understandable offers work best

Optimize Timing

  • Spa offers: Promote in the morning when appointments are still available
  • Restaurant: At meal times with attractive specials
  • Events: On time, but with a sense of urgency

Visually Convince

  • High-quality images: Show the experience, not just the product
  • Videos: Personal invitations from the team work best
  • Consistent branding: All promotions should match your hotel

Troubleshooting

Promotion doesn't appear in the feed?

  • ✓ Is it activated? (Play button in the list)
  • ✓ Is it within the defined time window?

Guests book little?

  • ✓ Use clear sales impulses (banners, override labels)
  • ✓ Test different time windows
  • ✓ Check price attractiveness

Promotion runs forever?

  • ✓ Without time control, promotions run indefinitely
  • ✓ Manually pause or define time window
